One thought on where you sit at this point: Having been exposed to fire and then setting for years (decades?), I highly recommend you dip and galvanize your frame. The tub is going to take blasting if there is any metal underneath that rust, but blasting won't get inside the frame rails. Dip and galvanize will ensure your hard work will remain on a solid foundation.

Well last week a guy asked how much I wanted for Virgil so I popped off a number and he shockingly said "sold" so yesterday we loaded it up and he went to a new home in Edmond however I still have the engine which is great I may just start planning a 4.7 stroker build for the XJ.
