JK Step Rails for 4D - Opinions, Pictures

Postby OK91lx » Fri Apr 12, 2013 8:02 am

Looking to purchase some for my vehicle. Anyone have any opinions on them. I can tell you I don't want the chrome pipe look that is common with most step rails. Looking for something different. Would love to see pics of what people are running.

Thanks,

Todd

I like the the ways these are because they don't hang down too low and you can kinda hook your feet in them which would be good on a muddy trail or wet day.

I will also say my dad has these and they look tough and held up well out in Colorado last year

I know they both have tubes, not sure if you just wanted to avoid the common tube steps you see a lot on pickups or wanted to avoid a round tube all together.

Something else if you can weld or know someone that can the Poison Spyder addition to the Rubicon rails is nice because you don't loose ground clearance on those.

I like the look of the Hyline. Mainly trying to avoid the common tube steps, not a tube in general. Thanks for the input.

Look into Ace, but there's lots of to choose from. I made mine after looking at some from shokwotks. I wanted something with ground clearance that would take a beating.

Ace rails are a solid choice. They do look better combined with factory rock rails. The poison spider weld on kit is called Rico side step kit.
