trying to decide what rim width to get & tire size for my 1988 yj , basically leaving it stock ,I'm going to put some new shackles on it. I drive this on the road alot & cant go to crazy yet. I'm looking at 15 x 7" rims or 15 x 8" rims ,cant decided. also wanting to run 30-950-15's if they will fit. thanks for any suggestions. if anybody has some rims they want to sale let me know. Thanks.

I have 15 x8 but I am thinking about going to a 16 or 17 because 15" tire selection is begining to narrow.

With stock height, flares and a shackle lift you're pretty much limited to 30-31 inch tires and a 7-8 inch wide wheel.

I ran that combination for 5 painful years.

I had 31"s on my yj with saggass leafs. Rubbed the fenders with just a little flex, and like Matt said, Painful. But if you don't plan on offroading it you'd be OK.
Look at that, a SILVER Jeep!
