Lift kit for 95 Wrangler

Postby ROSCO » Sun Dec 04, 2011 8:25 pm

I live in the Ada area and I have acquired a 95 Wrangler. It is stock and I want to add a 3" body lift to run some 33x12.5x15 tires I have located. I am looking for someone who can install one and do it right for a reasonable price.

I doubt that you will find many that will agree that there is a right way to do a 3" body lift. I'm not sure on YJs, but that seems like an awful lot for a body lift.

I have a 89 Toyota with a 3" and I ran 33's on it till they gave out. Looked ok to me, hopefully the jeep will do the same. That s why I joined was to learn a little. :=)

As many jeeps and 4x4's run the South Canadian river and hills near here I figured there would be someone on here local. Later then.

I have a 95 YJ also but I went with the 2" lift instead of the 3". You should look at doing a 2" body and a 1 1/2" Shackle lift that will run 31"s good also it would be best to trim your fenders a bit. The body lift is very simple to install all you need to do is remove the body mount bolts and use a floor jack and a piece of 4x4 raise each side and slide in the pucks then do the front and rear last. You will also have to trim the floor around the gear shifter because of the angle.
95 YJ, 4.56 gears, powertrax rear and Aussie locker front, 3 1/2 Cyl 2.0, 4" Rough Country weak spring lift, 2" Body Lift, WARN XD9000I Amsteel Blue Synthetic rope, 35/12.5 BFG KM2, KORE Beadlocks, Point Blank Custom Tube Fenders and Stinger.
