Bought a soft top today, interesting stuff!

Bought a TrekTop NX for my hubby today so we could experience the jeep without its hard top. Man it was something trying to get that thing on! I guess we have big speakers on the sound bar because it fits almost too tight! Had a blast listening to him cuss and fight with it though. Haha. I can see that the two of them will get along just fine.

That does sound fun, I also bought a soft top, found one from smitty built for $230, too cheap to pass up, install was pretty easy except for when I tried to put the windows on and found that they were both too short by an inch(grrrr) am waiting now for the replacements to arrive

I have been thinking of getting a softtop, however, I don't have a frame and don't know anything about tops or the manufactures. So many different styles and colors. I have more research to do before I pull the trigger on a top.

I have the rampage top on my TJ. I really like the ability to store the side and rear windows in the top itself. Makes those cloudy days a little better since I can pull over and put the top on while on the trail.

I can highly recommend Bestop's sailcloth top... the one I had on my recently-departed 99 TJ fit beautifully and was easy to handle, didn't seem to shrink quite as quickly when the temps started to drop, and the noise reduction from the original top was so significant that I'm getting another for the 99 TJ I just bought. Best deal I found (and extraordinary customer service, too!) was online at Morris 4x4. Ignore the MSRP listed price and go to the checkout for the actual price. Haven't been able to beat them yet. I used the cleaner & conditioner about every other month in the summer. Good luck!
